board to tears .. cut scenes slow and too many errors ... waste of my time ... if I could give a minus rating.. I would.. bots floating off the ground while walking.. slow mo sucked.. it's like I was just watching cut scenes 90% of the time...

Pros:

Interesting sequel
NPCs
L4D1 survivors
Skybox was nice
Dialogue and voice acting
L4D1 Common Infected

Cons:

No eyes or animations for NPCs
Very very short
No SI
Bots
Gameplay

Conclusion:

This was a very interesting sequel but it was really short. 90% was just cutscenes and 10% just gameplay. The bots didn't pick up medkits and weapons in the beginning and they didn't have any weapons until the second chapter was over. The eyes of the NPCs were funny at first (Oh everyone in 2019 has purple eyes) but got boring quickly. L4D1 survivors didn't really do much, I was really surprised to see them all together. The voice acting was a superb touch. No SI was dull, especially since they were mentioned. It would have been nice to have more gameplay and kill some more because it seemed that getting through the city was really easy for them to do. Coach and Rochelle are unscathed yet, Ellis and Nick are severely injured. It would have been cool if they (along side the L4D1 survivors) got an injured skin like Ellis and Nick. Overall the campaign was obviously well crafted and took a lot of time and effort. I'm looking forward to the Director's Cut and III.

Pros:

+ Well made custom models
+ Decent idea behind it

Cons:

- As others have said, in coop everyone including the host get a ping of 200+
- No active special infected or boss infected
- In the few areas that there is regular infected, they have a tendency of respawning behind the player.
- Invisible walls are oddly placed, some are not placed where on a better made map would be.
- Next to no animation for the NPC characters, and they have no eyes
- Overly slow paced and over-sized. Not optimized or felt like it was tested at all.
- VA audio is lower than standard audio; to hear the characters the player needs to turn their sound up.
- Most areas are over-sized and very few areas are populated with props or scenery – bland looking.
- Huge contrast between the squeaky-clean mapping and the ‘extended’ presence of zombies.
- Over-use of slow-mo, Especially during the dream scenes that makes them longer than they should be.
- Artificial length, takes a lot of time getting from one area to the next with any sort of ‘conflict’.
- All surface maps felt like slates in the sky; maps would end suddenly behind blockades.
- The final conflict on the last map makes very little sense.
- Cookie-cutter tension in the story, more waiting than playing.
- The maps are extremely short and are all one-scene each.
- Tension falls flat at every angle, can’t be taken seriously due to the huge amount of flaws.
- Spent most of the time playing wanting it to be over.

Conclusion:

Overall, it's not a map worth playing besides looking at what NOT to do when making a campaign. It feels janky even on single player, doesn't include many no-plot interactions, and feels more like a rail-shooter with visual-novel elements. It does not feel serious even though that is the attempt being made for it, and its even harder to take seriously with the graphical issues and the lack of animation during the 'cut scenes'. The first map has a bit of promise to it, but it's ruined by the intense slow-mo and the atypical 'spooky' scenery in a large area. The parts with defibrillator zaps was a good touch, but that's about it I have to say on the positive side.
In several portions in the map, it's easy to jump around the geometry and get to a higher area that (on a well made map) the player couldn't even jump to. Without jumping to areas that would normally be 'out-of-bounds', where the map ends can be seen clearly from ground level, and in some areas the void would just be a bit 'off' from where the player has to go. On the map before the Helicopter assault, I was able to jump onto a truck, onto the side of a building, drop down onto a random block, and walk around to the save room - avoiding the cutscenes completely.
A bit of a no-no on mapping, I decompiled the map to look under the hood to see if there was things wrong with the campaign from a mapping P.O.V. There was. A total of 72 cubemaps were used throughout the campaign, a good few in areas that didn't need any. A lot of the maps had the leven and a basic skybox enlarged by the need of distant buildings, making them needlessly oversized.
Personally, I think it would’ve done a lot better as a mod, or make use of one-man stand official mod.
