First release...

Welcome to the initial Beta testing for "End of the Line"
This is a fort style survival map. You have a central location to hold and the infected will only come from one direction. A style of mapping for survival you really don't see too often I feel...
As testers, I will of course ask for various feedback in several areas... but I also ask that you have fun with this... that is what it was created for after all...
Now what I need you guys to look for/pay attention to...
- Smoothness of gameplay... (i.e. not getting stuck on every last can of beans trying to run away from a tank...)
- Overall Frame-rate... (If there are any particularly bad areas let me know)
- Bot and infected Navigation...
- Supply layout balancing...
- Visuals/Aesthetics...
- Feel of map...
- Look for any areas where you can get stuck or where the infected cannot reach you...
- Suggestion on improvement (anything and everything)
- How does the music help/hurt the overall experience... (hopefully it helps since I plan on keeping it ;3 ...)
- Add one of the most important aspects... how long did you survive?... (please specify who was on your team... not name but how many players were humans and how many were bots...)
Kind of feedback you can provide
- Leave a comment on THIS page... I will be checking it daily... if you leave a comment anywhere else... I may not find it...
- For some of the things I ask... screenshots can help for those who cannot provide a video or demo file (i.e. showing me where a stuck spot or other issue is located)
- Videos are probably the best kind of feedback for showing me how well it played, and/or how well the bots acted... but if you can't provide a video, a demo file it just as good...
There is probably something I am missing... I am sure it will come to me after I get everything started... also keep in mind two things...
1. There is a small Easter egg in the map already... you will know it when you see it... trust me...
2. The survival times of all testers will determine when an Easter egg happens... (it has not been implemented in just yet... but it will activate after a certain amount of time once it is added... that time being determined by how long the times are...)
That should cover it... have fun guys :D
You have nowhere left to run...
In this map, the zombies will only spawn from one direction... Expected survival time for most team, even solo player, is no less than ten minutes...
***After eight months of searching for the origins of the song featured in the map... I finally found it!...
The song is called "Asalto al Galeon" by composer Roque Banos... and of course, I claim no rights to the song, all rights to this wonderful song belongs to him...***

Environments: City / Urban, Oceans / Islands, House / Structure
• Cool loading poster (+0.5 bonus)
• Music (+0.2 env)
• Fantastic idea and environment (+3.0 env)
• Good size for a survival map with plenty of supplies(+1.0 gameplay)
• Not much problems with navigation file (+3.9 gameplay)
• Fantastic layout and bridge structure (+2.0 env)
• Good soundscape (+0.5 env)
• When doing a local server without even starting the survival , my ping was around 200... (-0,since it can be my fault)
• Sometimes bots can get stuck on some places; on a washer prop , crouching under a bus at the broken part of the bridge (-0.4)
A fantastic map with lots of space to survive and cool features. very good 3D skybox. The bridge's structure is awesome , including the broken part. I really enjoyed this map. Looks like i need a new way of making a review , because this map got over 10 points in my opinion...
• Environment: 5.7 - 0.0 = 5.7 /Nice environment , has a very realistic feeling and awesome layout. Did not see any negative points.
• Gameplay: 4.9 - 0.4 = 4.5 /Good and fun gameplay. In some occasions , bots can get stuck but it surely is not prohibiting the gameplay. Zombie behavior was fine and no problems detected.
• Bonus: 0.5 /Bonus are good points that can't be taken away by anything because they have nothing to do with the environment or gameplay about the map.
so your saying the older version is the only version thats playable with multiplayer right now and there is no option of getting it...
can i please also tell you that my brother can play the map on official dedicated servers but i can't? is it because he has a older version?
If he can and you can't... he might have never downloaded the newest version...
can someone help,(i have a mac) my icon doesn't work when a unzip the .vpk file and put it in addons, at first that didn't bother me but when i tried to play the map on official dedicated and played it with my bro, it stopped loading then loads a bunch then says "Map does not match the version on the server. (string table differs)" my bro got in but i failed to connect why is that? but if i try joining a local server i load up but he doesn't, his installation process worked and he played with his friend i tried and nothing. anyone can you please help me i think it has something to do with the icon (remember i have a mac) ALSO, i unzipped it with the unarchiver.
Ah... another case of string table problem...
This is a problem not on my or your end... official dedicated server have NOT updated the their version of the map... so when you try to play the map on said server... the new version does not match the old version... creating the error...
Sadly there is nothing I can do to solve this... is it the job of the server owner to update their content... and without knowing who, what, and where the server is... we can only hope they will find out eventually...
So until that is resolved... you will have to play on a local server... it is the only way for now... my apologies for the inconvenience...
-Great design
-Compact, but not claughstraphobic
-Lots of supplies, items, and weapons
-You can fall back if you need to
-None I can see, other than fps, but that's my computer's fault
Conclusion:I'd play this over any survival map! Its hella worth downloading!
