Three maps of my first attempt at L4D campaign creation are available. The first map will likely get a significant overhaul down the road. The other two just lack minor tweaks and refinement. Criticism is appreciated.
Enjoy.
You MUST remove any version of "They Did What?" before installing "Cape Murder."
Your hapless band of misfits picked the mouth of this creek to land their sinking dingy. You hoped for safety. Welcome to disappointment village, population YOU!
I think the only bug that needs to be fixed here is in the finale the bots never take the other path around the building, which means you have to go the same way everytime to get to the chopper and if you decide to take another route the bots die.
-Well designed landscape
-Linear, but still not boring paths
-Some of the "Hey, 5 minutes ago i was running along done there" Deja Vu's, typical for L4D :D
-Nice tank spawns, the one in the lift tower made me lol XD
-The lifttower part was first kinda tricky for me... 4 big ladders, smoker made deathpull on zoeybot... Actually i only noticed the LIFT itself on my 2nd try XD
-The bots sucked LOL
-The names on the loading screen seemed to be a bit off (f.e. "Alblaka alias Bill" was displayed on Zoey XD)
Actually, the campaign itself doesn't has any real Cons ^^'
Great Campaign, surely playable. Couldn't see any Bugs so far ^^
Though, i'm only going to give it 95, since 100 would require it to have something uberpwnage-awesome... Which wasn't there in my oppinion.
Still, i like this campaign much more then a few of the original ones :D
.
Great campaign! We enjoyed it so much! Even with little bugs!
I've uploaded the full campaign in expert, to youtube:
Final part in /watch?v=Ps_DKRO1VSY , if you want to check it out =)
Thanks a lot, SpideyAJ
I don't know what the first name of this map was and don't care otherwise, a little buggy here and there but I enjoyed the campaign.
I'm surprised I didn't play it months ago I give it an 88 for the effort !!
banner requires iframes
Good Length (5 maps)
Great Level Design
Easy to Navigate
Balanced Difficulty
Some may have trouble finding Finale switch
Loading screen names mixed up
Bot died/trapped on the final elavator
A very good all round campaign, the finale was well above par; the machine-gun turret was actually useful for once and worth using. I would highly recommend this campagin to anyone as it is almost on standard with a Valve campagin :)
