Thanks for the feedback! Besides being applied to this campaign, it's helped me greatly on my next project! (I'm actually a good way done with the first map even!)
Changes:
made finale more clear
dramatically improved framerates on map 1

Notes:
it's likely there will be 1 last update, to iron out some bot nav issues on map 4 at some point.

My intention with my first campaign was never to do something earth shattering or to create the finest set of maps the world has ever seen. I simply set out to do a campaign with my limited skills the best i could. Although i've learned a lot from this campaign i'll be applying in the future. So hopefully my work continues to improve.

i'll be taking this experience to my next campaign which i hope to have finished around the time left 4 dead 2 comes out.

Thanks to all the people who have made tutorials and added to the community. There are a lot of talented mappers and moders out there whose maps I've played and enjoyed. Thanks for the work and diligence. This is my first map using hammer, and I've learned a lot making this campaign. In the future, I'll be working on more I'm sure.

Version 1.0

The campaign starts outside a run down run down shopping center where an unlucky few made their last stand. The campaign then continues to the finale in the second map. The difficulty is meant to ramp up as the 2 maps continue, with the finale being somewhat difficult. The reccomended difficulty is "Advanced" or "Expert".

I'm not sure if this will be updated, since I accomplished what I set out to do. Although it's possible I might revisit this and expand it in the future.

Black Out is a short campaign featuring 4 maps. It starts on a stretch of road and ends with a "gauntlet" style finale where you must escape onto a waiting van at the end of the subway tunnel. Recommended difficulty is advanced.
Edit: Listed as complete because no further work will be done.

Pros:

Overall setting/environment.
Overall progression from point A to B, etc.

The general IDEA of this campaign is fine.

Cons:

I made a comment about this a while back but apparently it was removed ;)

This campaign is NOT finished. Despite the "final" tag next to map version.

It's broken in a few places. Places where you can fall off the map and go behind the map. Hordes spawn out of the weirdest places (like brick storefronts). Special infected spawn in all sorts of odd places. Bot mapping is bad. The finale is unfinished and unclear/confusing.

Overall, just disappointing. Especially when I went into it thinking it was a finished campaign.

Conclusion:

Don't download it unless you want to see just how crappy it is.

Author? Don't like the criticism, then finish the damn thing and make it what it COULD be.

Pros:

NONE!

Cons:

Bad frame rates.

Conclusion:

Don't download this garbage. He won't fix it and admitted as such.

I get so sick of people who put stuff up on here and then when they get in over their heads or just get plain lazy, they take their marbles and go home to mommy.

I Think this looks really cool...um and if they dont pick up weapons where they are you use cheats its not hard make the campaign fun yourself thats what i do.

what kind of attitude is that? If there are problems you should fix them surely.

I have no intention of fixing any bugs or updating anything. It was listed as complete for that reason.
