Released WIP
Apparently, the military has setup an evacuation outpost at the train station... may as well head there...
Instructions:
Requires L4D2 Add-on support installed (In Steam Tools)
Double Click on VPK file to install
The forklift staircase idea felt new and interesting.
No game breaking issues.
Consistent environments.
Very long intro. Annoying in versus.
Zombie hordes getting stuck behind un-destroyable doors.
The beginning feels like an labyrinth.
The alarm never stops ringing, although the zombies stop coming.
Alarmed cars not looking like they should do. Making them harder to detect. This is not optimal in such an already difficult campaign.
Infected having problems with the handrails, getting stuck behind them.
The AI bots can't handle the forklift event. They jump down the hole, killing themselves.
In the last saferoom each weapon only have 1 in weaponcount.
Very, very large map. Some parts of the map are really boring due to this. The street-part is really long and really flat. Making it a very boring part of the level.
I believe that the biggest problem is that I played this map the last day. And know I have a hard time remembering anything about the campaign except the notes I wrote while playing. The campaign doesn't hold many memorable parts.
All in all? A good map.
*Love urban the environment
*Endless zombie hordes
*More than 2 maps
*Great final,pretty classic
*In some point,linear
*3th map its big,not fun if u get kill and restart
*As ussual some gitch when, you are at train watting for horde (they frezze if you jump on the crates)
Its a really fun,and hard to play campaing.I really like this. The only not so good thing its that some maps are kind of big,and if you get kill its not funny.
Love it :D
ill try it out it looks great!
I love this campaign. very fun
banner requires iframes
Original concept
city streets
good detail
excellent storyline
needs customized voice-overs
Conclusion:a very well made map with great attention to level design. glad we tried this one, as it's one of the best we've played in a while. Realistic setting and a believable world makes this one stand out against other custom campaigns. great job!
-love the maps
-love the gameplay and flow of the level
-love IT !!
- the only thing in this campaign i dont like is the opening sequence it seems to drag on (this is nit picking really)
Conclusion:i really loved this campaign it was fun, hard and the tank and special infected spawns are great
and i dont under stand the performance issue that people are having my pc ran it fine
ow and Grandemperor ..you are clearly a moron this is a great campaign
Snendle keep up the good work :D
ow also i found Grandemperors map
http://www.l4dmaps.com/details.php?file=4396
you wana see a bad map check it out
Fantastic atmosphere
Terrific Layout
Exciting panic events and rolling panic events
Love the urban setting
Detailed settings - very realistic
no custom content
Conclusion:This campaign is SOOO fun!! We played it over and over, it is very challenging, even when not on expert! Awesome campaign that I would recommend to everyone.
+Looks good
+Street battles were fun
+Multiple routes are good
+Custom dialogue a good bonus!
+Good finale
-Areas to big, too easy to take out tanks
-Should of probably been split into 5 or even 6 chapters, especially the third chapter, I mean three creschendos is tough, we nearly got wiped out by the end!
-Like someone else said, 2 tanks at the finale was a bit of an overkill
A good campaign, some work to be had but I think you can do much better campaigns in future =)

All in all? A good map.
-Maps are sizable, look great, play well and provide an adequate challenge.
-I like the No Mercy style used.
-The mini-finale with the tank was fun.
-The intro was cool.
-Many cool moments, such as the tank on the large street littered with cars or the huge fall to the ground if punched off by a tank on the finale (better than on No Mercy, as you can actually see the ground you fall to!).
-Occasional frame-rate drops
-Finale felt a like a slight weak point in the campaign. I would enjoy a finale area with a slightly "cooler" layout than the top of the small, square structure.
I thoroughly enjoyed your campaign. It was a load of fun and was quite action packed. A lack of item spawns forced me to cherish each item rather than spam them (a good thing). I would say to add a bit more details and improve the finale layout and you have one of the best custom campaigns I have ever played.
+ length
+ athmosphere
+ No Mercy Style
+ well done leveldesign
- PERFORMANCE!!
Conclusion:This campaign would be awesome, if the performance would be better. Please optimize that campaign and i will give 90. Its playable, but the slowdowns in some places are too bad for that nicely done campaign.
- Quite Challenging. Kept you on your toes.
- Plenty to explore.
- Nice, long stages. Kept you looking for more supplies instead of good players being able to hold onto the same supplies for the whole game.
- A few very nicely done crescendo events.
- Looks quite a lot like No Mercy, visually. Especially the Finale.
- A lot of it can get very repetitive, and very boring.
- The Multiple Witches idea is good, but not done very well.
- Even GETTING to the Finale was like No Mercy. I really wish that had've had something a little more unique.
Took some great parts from other campaigns. Done a little sloppily, overall, though. Not a lot of originality. Still worth a play through, you'll have a good time, although it can get a little frustrating. Definitely a good map if you want a real challenge. I didn't even bother attempting this on Expert, my friends and I barely got through advanced.
Try it. It's worth a play, but it's nothing you'll be enjoying over and over again.
Dark, eerie campaign.
Nice custom melee weapon.
Fun and Exciting
Quite difficult, even on normal
Missing sounds
Confusing at times
Quite long
Still a few bugs here and there, but besides that it's perfection.
Ah, his happens to be my favorite custom map that I've played yet in L4D2. The dramatic change in atmosphere from each level to another is well put together and very much believable. It's finale almost makes No Mercy look bad. The third level is pretty hard to beat, judging upon events and length, though at this point some of those events are easy to "glitch."
Cons:The third to last level is just so filled with everything to the point where it begins to lag the game, even for someone with a great gaming computer. There, on the train event, you may just press the button and run back.... causing the horde to just come at you in small sections and the tank not even to spawn. Small little problems like that occur.
Conclusion:This is my favorite campaign, and I'd love to see a newer version made. As of this very moment however I believe it to deserve an 90. It's got small but easily fixable problems here in there, it's layout is AWESOME, it's ideas are great, and it's so fun to play with friends that I recommend it for you teams out there trying to become more closer to that perfect team!
My team and I are as of this moment uploading a play through of it. See here to watch- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smbIYGlLiqI
Custom melee weapon model
Open areas to exploration
L4D2 random paths implemented
Some areas bad optimized
Bad signalling for events
Some paths are too hard to pass
Copy and paste No Mercy areas
In overall this campaign is nice but has flaws. It was hard to me find finale radio to activate event. You could to put some textual advise at it, not only glow. Forklift event too was strange because it continues to glow after you activate it. I needed activate it some times until I figured out that I needed to go to up jump on sand bags. One time I see 3 tanks, was before a airport entrance I think, had large streets. Some areas are exactly equal to No Mercy ones.
Made this game slighly scary not knowing whats next,
entertaining
verry long and a bit repetitive
Conclusion:Nicely built map
-it plays just like no mercy
-great storyline
-short and easy
-terrible graphics on some levels
this campaign is good,so im giving it a 51.
-Open areas
-Nicely playable experience
-I am sorry, but this was nearly exactly like No Mercy, and while I can see the differences, I kept looking to see what this map was called...I couldn't help but thinking the whole time that this is a No Mercy mod.
While it looks great, I don't feel comfortable giveing this excellent marks because the creator hasn't explained these VAST similarities with the No Mercy map. Anyone can take a map and mod it, but saying you modded it is different than saying you made it from scratch. :(
Includes all maps.
Much is taken from the original L4D2 maps. Shame.
There are some stairways that are way too wide.
While this campaign receives updates, still many bugs like ammo on it's side.
Intro too long.
The best I can say about this campaign is you get all maps. it's obvious that much of this campaign was ported directly from L4D2. Nothing original here at all.
great detail
city/urban setting is nice
great atmostphere
great story
very difficult sometimes
finale is easier than the rest of the campaign
Even though the finale is easier, it still provides a challenge, especially with 2 tanks!! I loved the campaign and recommend it to anyone.
other people seem to like it
Cons:bad optimization
bad nav
alot of copy and pasted valve stuff
frustrating
dunno reviews are misleading. i was expecting maps on par with other 85+ rated campaigns but the lag and bots getting stuck was very annoying also looked like alot of shortcuts where taken building this.
Looks pretty good for the most part.
Most weapons found can only be used once (adds some realism there)
A lot of bugs.
Got lost a ton.
too many tank spawns
Intro too long
From what i played it's not a bad campaign but I stopped playing after on the second map I found a tank right before destroying a barricade which i ending up shooting while the tank charged me only to be wiped by a second tank right after that alley way. I got lost way to much for my liking I went around in circles for about 10 minutes trying to find where to go. I also saw quite a few bugs too like one of the bathrooms in the second map was missing a wall and I could see through into the hallway.
If these bugs were fixed and tank spawns where a bit lower it would be a good campaign but right now it wasn't much fun for me.
Nice atmosphere
Overall Good Campaign
Nice Panic Events!
Challenging
Loooooooooooooong Intro!
Very No-Mercy-Ish!
Skyboxes were a problem with me.
Invincible doors
Very good but a bit to reminscent of No Mercy.
Very Challenging
Alot of Fun
cool city streets
Great to see Optional ways to go
could have more custom sounds/textures
would like a survival mode - at the train station!
I loved that you weren't handed many weapons right from the start. Overall, the map feels very realistic. The train station gave me a big suprise, that I won't reveal more about! Great Job
Challenging, even on Normal setting
Events are very original
Good amount of paths
Too confusing, sometimes
Buggy with the bots (they get stuck in a lot of places)
I would give it a 95/100 because of the fun and challenge I had with the Campaign on Single Player (can't wait to play with friends), it was a really well made campaign. But the bot bugs just ruined the 3rd map ending, and at first I got lost at the finale, so I have to make it a 90/100.
-Unique maps
-Forces exploring, which can be fun and rewarding
-Plenty of weapons, ammo, and health
-Crescendo events are relatively well placed
-Nice length
-Can become very irritating
-Multiple tanks is okay for a challenge at the end, multiple witches in multiple places gets frustrating
-Clipping issues: Infected clip through fences and barricades, characters clip through boxes, fences, and barricades; and I was even charged into a box, incapped, and my teammates couldn't revive me because I was inside a pile of boxes. Even weapons clip through objects in the safe room.
-Navigation can become a chore. I spent a while trying to figure out how to get out of the apartment building, working my way through the streets was confusing (choosing a crescendo event or walking around it), the obvious choice being walking around it. Why put the barricade crescendo there at all?
-The train station rescue, I found myself clipping through boxes, the tank's rubble attacks clipping through boxes and hitting me. It was hard figuring out how to navigate to the radio, and it wasn't blindingly obvious the train crashed at first, I sat fighting waves of zombies for a good while before I realized it wasn't the finale.
The campaign has some good things going for it. The intricate urban design, the exploration nature of the open streets was a neat feel, crescendo events felt like they were in the right spots, and weapons and supplies weren't too ubiquitous, nor too scarce.
But the bugs in the campaign hurt all of the strong points. Clipping issues being the worst. Zombies clipping through doors and barricades just took from the experience as a whole. And a lot of places went over the fine line between challenging and just plain frustration, namely the parts with two or three witches and a horde attack crescendo all in one. Or two witches sitting in the only entrance/exit to a place.
And I don't know if the server I was on was lagging or what, but the chopper finale didn't have an animation. The helicopter just sat there and I wasn't sure if I had died for a while until the credits started rolling.
So, this is something to work on. It has great potential, it was fun to play looking past the issues it faces, and if you can work on those, you'll have a great campaign on your hands. You're heading in the right direction.
Quite challenging (I'm not playing on easy here people...).
Well made.
Good length.
Never had framerate issues.
Soloable
Bots get really annoying as the campaign goes on.
It's possible to get lost, or run in circles for a bit.
Special infected spawns under elevator glitch.
This map was great fun. It reminds me a tad of no mercy, but in a good way. I would definitly recommend to new left 4 dead players who came in when #2 came out. A nighttime urban environment is something that shouldn't be missed by new players, and this map pulls it off.
Inner City map
very tough campaign
speech/sound
lots of options
good layout
lots of witches
no survival mode
Conclusion:first map is kind of short, but overall a great length...not too long. Will definitely play it again!
Fun campaign
not too long - we completed in just over half an hour
unique layout
reminiscent of No Mercy
not set in the south
not set in the daytime
usually, I prefer daytime maps, but this campaign was really fun! The action was great and the atmosphere was scary. good attention to detail.
Thanks!
- Lots of rooms to explore
- Variety of weapons - (didn't see a magnum though)
- Multiple Witches
- Multple Panic Events in a level
- Subtle but believable voice acting
- A bit confusing on some events, in paticular the train event, your lead you are going to be saved by a train (which if you want to see a train in L4D play "Cit 17") however after the event is over you don't actually see the train crash but you do see the wreckage so I wasn't sure if we were suppose to wait to move on.
- Second stage isn't fun at all. Mostly because of the constant mobs of zombies that come at you for no reason.
- Two tanks at 2nd wave of finale is a bit overkill, but that's probably just me
- Overall just too long and big.
Bigger isn't always better as you will notice in this level. There are plenty high points with a variety of events in each level. The 2nd level is a bit of unfun situation, the streets are too wide open and too much space and too many random mobs of zombies. I like this map but I don't love it.
Interesting maps.
Nice ammo and weapon shortage in the first map.
The relentless waves in maps 3 and 4 make it very challenging.
Twin tanks!
Nothing new concerning the design of the areas.
Too many locked doors that look like real doors.
The ammo shortage at the start quickly turns into an excessive amount of ammo piles, with a couple of exceptions in map 3.
Fun was had with this campaign, but it is far from perfect. Overall, it's still a thumbs up!
+ Things set up nicely.
+ Nice Details.
+ Nice Textures.
+ Nice Weather.
+ Has you feeling like you're really in the game.
+ Nice beginning.
+ Nice Finale.
- Not much of a challenge.
- Would be cool on Level 2 at the elevator part, more zombies spawn and keep spawning until you get in the elevator, would have more action like in No Mercy elevator part in the hospital.
- Could get lost on Level 3.
- A few glitches.
- No defibrillators on the battlefield in the finale.
Played on Expert, not to much of a challenge. Okay map, not something I would play again, but something that I had fun with. I'd recommend playing it, not recommended to waste so much time on it. Once again, you can play this on Expert and not have a problem. IMO.
Map design is mostly fine - in the first map, which is as far as we played.
Cons:I don't see why people did not mention about the apparent bugs in their posts. You can walk into some props, like the desk in the room where you spawn. All the wooden doors too. Serious design flaw. Stopped playing there with friends as soon as we discovered this. (Hell, almost after spawn room)
Untill these things are fixed, i have to give this 50.
Fun City with good variety
very fun and difficult for us to survive
a variety of possible ways to reach the safehouses
was sometimes seeming too difficult
big wave of zombies on map 2 was quite tough to get through.
Although fun, this campaign is quite difficult - perfect for expert players. Some minor bug fixes could help, but there is no major problems that we ran into. overall, I give it 95.
good length
alot of events
cool events
no versus
Conclusion:this was a really fun map and a real challenge! hopefullly a versus mode will be made available soon! Great work!
Good atmosphere
Nice finale
Nice intro
Maps are too big, SIs can't do anything
Endless hordes
Not polished and uncreative
You just need to work on the things I mentioned in the cons. If you made the map smaller and gave details to the map, it would be great.
Really fun campaign
Lots of "Oh Crap!" moments
Very intense
Good layout and flow
Challenging
Bots have a hard time, getting stuck etc.
Conclusion:Overall one of my favorite custom campaigns so far. It was intense from start to finish with alot of moments where we barely made it to the safe room. Pretty much a unique layout all the way through and didn't suffer from some of the repetitive areas that other campaigns have. eg Dead City 2.
Great job!
Good amount of "Panic Events"
Good City Design
Two Words -- "Invincible Doors"
Towards the end of the level, it begins to look and feel a lot like Left 4 Dead 1's Mercy Hospital end, complete with the half built building and the survival mission up on the roof.
Conclusion:A good map, all in all. Massive amount of panic events keep you on your feet. Could maybe use even some more....
Also, Map developer, don't get rid of the invincible doors... >__>;
Challenging
good weapon places
good layout
Bots run off at the start
This is overall my Number 1 favorite campaigns, but fix the bots when they start
Fun campaign with lots of panic events!
I didn't run into any major bugs
excellent framerate and I'm on an older machine
would be great if it included more customized textures and sounds.
Survival mode would be a good touch
overall a terrific map. Very original and a really fun challenging campaign. The level of detail is terrific and it feel very realistic. Good story overall. All in all this is a great campaign. Definitely one of the best custom campaigns so far!
Love it :D
- Appealing
- Thrilling
- Genuine Fun
- Plenty of drops
- Nice story / events
- Can be too challenging ( Cars and Tanks dont mix well )
- Bots are idiots
Good fun with friends and bots , played this one before , just did'nt submit the review , definatly epic gameplay , plenty of blood gore and detail within the map. Thanks dude!
-Decent length
-Decent Machine Gun locations
-Dialogue.
-No extreme problems in ammo placement (although maybe the third map may be lacking).
-Alternate routes in the second level.
-A few bugs in collisions
-Some missing textures, (possibly unsatisfactory framerate and ping levels)
-Lack of Medkits in the construction area.
-Lack of Uncommon Infected.
-Bots wander off at the beginning.
My first campaign downloaded for L4D2. It was a decent run, although there are still improvements to be worked on.
Appearence: The Campaign looked like a regular night campaign, which I like. Also the overall look of the streets looked like something from No Mercy.
Gameplay: FPS was up because of the small corridors and hallways and uses of nodraw textures. Also, I got a whole lot of Zombie kills.
Navigation: Most points in the map, it was clear where to go. Signs and graffiti helped guide me to the next saferoom in the map.
Difficulty: It was fairly challenging in the ending and the regular crescendo events were fun to do.
Appearence: I don't know if this was my computer's fault or something, but the sky was completely filled with black and purple checkerboxes.
Gameplay: Bots got stuck and re-teleported many times at the very end of the third level which got me a little angry. In the beginning of the campaign, the bots run off leaving you like 'WTF'.
Navigation: I have to admit, the streets were kinda annoying because sometimes it was hard to find out where to go. Like there was one path here, and a whole other path there.
Difficuly: The alarm crescendo event in the first level was 'REALLY' annoying because of how far we had to walk and how idiotic the bots were. We almost died because of their failure to help me when I got smoked. Also the two Tanks at the Finale scared the crap out of me, and almost died from that too.
This campaign is lengthy and is very good. It just has a few problems and bugs but a lot of campaigns have their flaws. If you like night-time campaigns (not that I ever got to see the night sky) then this campaign is for you. It looks pretty good and your FPS should be good for the majority of this campaign.
scary mood
optional ways to get to the saferooms
Challenging
good item placement
great overall flow
no custom graphics or sounds
Conclusion:very fun map that we had a ball playing. Had to re-start one of the maps, but that was our own fault for dying. Will keep this one in our rotation - it's truly one of the best left 4 dead 2 campaigns we've played! Great Job! Very professional!!
terrific atmosphere
great story
very believable
great panic events and rolling panic events
not many cons at all
difficult at times
this map is fantastic, better than most custom maps that have a higher rating for some reason. I didn't try this until recently, but was surprised that it is rated lower than the others like 2evileyes. This one is much much much more realistic than that one.
Very creative. Loved the round with the witches. Made the map feel very hard rain-ish. Also liked the lift with the bags just before the safe room on the third round.
Cons:Very l4d1-ish. I suppose that's not an issue if you feel like having more of the same. But would be nice to have some "Louisiana" type maps.
Several areas that are non-directional. Very open with multiple ways to go. For example, the street outside with the fire crescendo - no direction with multiple ways to go.
Sometimes the hordes just keep coming with no real end in sight. For example, the street area. After the 10th horde, it's kinda annoying.
The lift at the end of the third round plays loud sound that never ends.
Alarm on first level just keeps going and going and going....
Use of flashing lights (lights that are going out) kinda over used. Seems like every room has one.
Definitely worth playing but isn't a map you'll be dying to play again. Good for a couple of run throughs. Needs some work but definitely worth playing.
-fun
-intense
-multiple paths through the stages
- multiple events on a stage
-hideous amounts of common zombies
-some frame rate issues at places
-did get a little frustrated with some bits trying to find my way round. maybe a couple of hints like at the very first apartment on how to get to the exit
-maybe a little to many guns floating round but it could have just been the director in my game
Very fun really enjoyed it and trying to get a group of friends with it to play it more. HOPE THERE IS VS SUPPORT. i didnt check for it
1) Excellent map structure all the way
2) A few very nice event ideas
3) Good atmosphere with very few bugs
4) Pretty large campaign that counts almost 1 hour of playtime in normal difficulty
5) Large areas require lots of exploration to find everything
1) I noticed a bug on one of the events where you pull a lever and a voice keeps telling you to wait 8 mins when all you have to do is run to the safe house when the gate is open. Nothing gamebreaking though:)
2) Very easy finalle even on expert. I think that's the only part of the campaign that needs major improvements.. Tank is very easy and the zombies that attack you are very few.. Perhaps consider two tanks at the same time for the final wave and zombies along with the first one..
Ok and now the bashing.. HOW ON EARTH does this one has a rating of only 66%??? This is hands down the best mod available so far for L4D2. It's 100 times better and 10 times larger than arena of the dead and it is lower on score? Really just because some people can't read and try to play this without the new addon support they rate it low? As for the matter of the lag that is also mentioned in here anyone with a decent pc can run this on high settings.. The campaign is excellent and I recommend it to everyone:)
update: Very big props for the changes at the final version. Two tanks dramatically changed the challenge of the finalle (so much that almost wished I wouldn't have said to try it lol). Most of the bugs are fixed too so my score is updated too:)

- Not much of a challenge.
Conclusion:- Would be cool on Level 2 at the elevator part, more zombies spawn and keep spawning until you get in the elevator, would have more action like in No Mercy elevator part in the hospital.
