+A higher-end reskin compare to others.
+Even it's just a reskin, it makes the weapon looks THAT much different.
-I know you used adrenaline shot for the scope. It looks pretty nice to some degree, but the "1,2,3" doesn't make sense. But I don't really mind it.
This is one of the skin that stayed in my add-on folder for...Quite long, until I switched it out for the Dragnov, since I love remodels. Though, I think I'm switching it back to this skin soon. I'm just not feeling it with that other authors product. This simple reskin seems to beat other Military Sniper mod easily.
+Pointer where to go
+A rare type of map. A change of pace/taste.
-Pointers only exists in first map, which is not really necessarily. While there are no solid direction on where to go in the next few maps. Until the mines.
-Area too large, supplies aren't enough for amateurs.
-No hint on what so ever on the endless horde map.
-Map is unnecessarily large, some woods/rocks roots isn't attached to the ground, but no score taken off.
-Maybe you're trying to make the scenery frightening(?) But 0 ambient light is very annoying and frustrating.
This is a...I wouldn't go as far to say it's well made? But clearly there are lots of effort been put into this campaign. A little bit more direction in the maps would be better, I had little trouble to maneuver since I've this "sixth sense" always somehow knowing where to go. But I played with some friends, without me being as their tour guide, we wouldn't have made it.
Now many people say this campaign is too easy since zombies are being picked off before they can even get close. Increase the amount of supplies given to survivors, not a lot! Just a tiny bit more. And limit weapon spawn to be close quarter weapons. Shotguns series.
7/10 because of the effort I see the author put into the map. But honestly, this map is quite painful to play, and I will recommend at least try finish it once. But I do not suggest a second play through.
+Nice traps and hints.
+Quite fun, I personally enjoy puzzle/fantasy maps.
+Decent amount of difficulties.
+Decent amount of supplies.
+There's a story to it.
+May seem frustrating, but there is always a way out.
-Bots aren't compatible (aka requires human players to be less frustrating)
-Most areas are too dark to see clearly.
-map3, drain. massive graphic fps drop near the end of the waterfall, and the whole room in general. its not the blue orb(demon) causing that. i believe its the waterfall/ fog effect causing fps drop rate.
-map4, hole. the nade launcher bonus platform. are you intend to make 1 person fall to death on top of it and get another person to use the defib provide uptop, activate it in mid-air to prevent death? if thats the case, its not working. and the bonus is not worth the challenge.
-map4, hole. the water room with the pushing wall can easily be glitched by items getting stuck inside the movable wall, making the gate shut forever.
-map5, finale. i have instructor turned on, it did not tell me what exactly i need to go or do, had to start up my own cheat server to explore the map in order to find out how to activate the finale.
-lack of decent level of supplies if you just skip the first few maps. the campaign is long, and even if you know the route, its still tedious if you have to go through it all again. starting with a pistol and nothing else is kind of harsh. ( no score deduction )
-map REQUIRES at least 2 human player. ( no score deduction )
Even though I'm giving this map a 6.8/10, I still like this map a lot. I'm trying to get my friends to play with me since it is quite impossible to do so with bots. Even with bot fix, it's still a massive pain in the butt. The idea is great, and I like how you need to look around to find clues. Game instructor didn't really help much, most clues requires observation and a bit of brain thinking. I would say, if you're a brainer and actually like challenges and solve puzzle, then this is a map for you. But if you just like holding a shotgun and blast away without a care in the world, please go somewhere else.
Great Story line.
VERY very remarkable traps.
Interesting atmosphere and map lay out.
Wonderful texture, fits the map.
Plenty of weapons scattered around.
So so so much more, you NEED to experience this first hand.
None that I can see. Bots incompetence isn't map's fault, happens to every map. ( No points taken )
Seriously, I don't see any cons for this series.
*If you think the puzzles are hard and etc, that's just you doesn't have enough intelligence, not map's fault*
This is a truly amazing series, I enjoy this A LOT. And I mean A LOT. It's one of the very few maps that I don't mind replaying after and after. I'm very impatient and excited for this map to be complete, I enjoy this map no less even I'm with a full team of bots. You can really see the story in this campaign, and I'm very intrigued to see how this story will turns out. In my very honest opinion, this truly deserve an award or some sort, or be listed in the official campaign.
This may be too early to say, since you aren't even finished with Alpha Test yet, but Nihilanth, I really truly wish you will not stop bringing awesomeness and extreme quality into Left 4 Dead world. Much respect!
