This is the best add-on map I've ever gotten. I love playing it with my friends. If you made one for Gondor, you would be even more awesome.

It's !@#$ing Helm's Deep!

Plenty of place-able traps all over the place.

Plenty of pre-placed traps outside for use against the horde. (these traps are also rather well-placed).

You faithfully reconstructed the Helm's Deep from the movie, while taking care to incorporate your own touches.

The level design lends itself to be either incredibly easy to out last the horde (much like a real castle would), or to be completely overwhelmed (much like the movie).

...er... can't really think of any...

A truly superb map. Its one of those rare maps that I honestly can't think of any criticism for. Well done!

this was my first download and the most detailed

the custom music was affected by the game music

This is a really great survival map. But gets a little repetitive after a while

Amazing map, I loved how similar it was to the movies. As a big Lotr fan myself, I enjoyed this map over and over until my eyes began to bleed! Rated 90/100 Good job!

When I first played this map, I literally played on the same map, same server, not leaving my chair for 3 hours. I loved it. I came back awhile later and played it some more; then again; then again. What eventually happened was that I got bored of playing it with only four people. Yes, it is an epic map. But when four people are running around a map that could hold 16 people, it kind of ruins a certain aspect of it. What I do recommend is if you put this on your server, make sure you have 8 or 16 people that are able to play it. This kind of survival map should have that many people. If not, then it might be fun for a few hours, but it gets slightly boring after that.

An excellent map, fantastic effort has been put into this map, I can tell, It is huge and there are lots of different place you can go to through the castle,

A few glitches that made it quite annoying.

The best Survival map i've played a must have for anyone with L4D.

Lots of area to fight, Looks identical to the Lord of the Rings final battle sequence, Lots of Med kits and pain pills. Alot of Gascans, Propanes, and Oxygen Tanks. Very epic with the custom music, and and textures. Made me feel like I was in the final battle in the Lord of the Rings. Very entertaining, I could play this map for 5 rounds straight and never get tired of it.

If you think there is a flaw with this map, you are WRONG.

In conclusion this map gives me the chills of awesomeness. Everyone should play it, on the first try you can make it up to 5 minutes. Very cool map, I recomend it to everyone!

The map is excellent however
*SPOILERS TO BEATING IT*
with 3 people I survived 28mins and 19secs, basically all you have to do is stockpile heaps of jerry cans at the top of the tower, and setup LPG and Gas cans on the field where the zombies spawn. You can spend about 4-6mins at those 4 miniguns at that wall and shooting zombies and tanks. Once you are overrun but back up the hidden stairs behind those miniguns and basically kill as many tanks as you can while running to the tower, once at the tower all you got to do is attack the tanks and move back until it dies then grab a jerry can from the stockpiled stock from the top and light up more tanks. You will be killing them so fast that you can even run to get ammo. But however that is not needed because duel pistols are the ones killing the tanks. As long as you don't lose your other 2 partners you can survive forever, once you lose them its only a matter of time before you lose. So thats how I got to 28mins and 19secs

Apart from the easy win (as long as you actually have good players) the map was excellent and it is still fun to play the map with my mates who are alright at the game cause we can't get past 6mins haha.

All in all I recommend this map highly and especially to anyone who loves major defensive maps. Good job Team Chivalry, SeriouS_Samurai. You should definitely attempt another Lord of the Rings map. Good job man, 100

Extremely well mapped
Music and lighting is brilliant

I found the very first area the best place to stay for the full 10 minutes - didn't feel the need to explore (and therefore appreciate the full mapping qualities)

A brilliantly mapped level. Only downfall i personally found was that the beginning area + the tower was enough to last the full 10 minutes with just myself and the 3 other bots. I didn't feel the need to use any other area of the map during the survival. This was just me though, I'm sure others have utilised the whole of the map..
