Have fun !
________
Known issues :
In single player, 10 cans are needed to escape but the hud shows 16 in single player
Survivors are not placed where they should be on intro
Part of a wall is invisible in a cell Map2
Campaign still Called "The Sewers" in the readme.txt
Claustrophobia (AKA, The Sewer) is a converted Half-Life 2 mod made by me. This campaign features seven maps starting from a dank, dark sewer, leading all the way up to a Canyon, also features various puzzles and several optional paths to explore for goodies. Have Fun !

campaign- I like the Puzzles (as I enjoy Puzzles) finding the keys and such.
- Enjoyed some chapters of the map
- Kits
- Pretty well map designed
- Nice garage surprise idea
- Half-life
- Finale (It's like every 10 secs, Specials and Horde comes + why is the cans so far away from the car?)
- Reaching the actual task to start the Finale took quite long, would be better if it was shorter.
- Who makes a room with 999999+ guns and etc to cause the game to crash every time? What IS the point of that?
- Lack of Instructions
- Too much Kits but not enough ammo pile
- The part where you ride along the railway: it gets stuck if the zombies are on the way, would've been better if it could run them over (I found it stupid that it could run over the witch yet not the zombies, how does that even work? Seriously.)
- Specials get stuck at some parts (Can't really remember what Chapter)
Most annoying finale EVER played however, I did enjoy the Chapters before the finale and it was quite of a challenge to play this Campaign.
-Original and unique
-Some appealing visual elements
-Challenging crescendo events
-Puzzling level progression
-Nice custom elements
-Half-life 2 correspondence
-Lengthy maps, though others may list that as a con
-Memorable
-SO CHALLENGING, WHICH LEFT 4 DEAD NEEDS!! LOVE THE CHALLENGE! BRING IT ON!
-Environment and atmosphere was a little stale
-Scarce amount of supplies (Though, I enjoyed it as it brought a unique challenge, but could be irritating at times).
-Some graphic and texture issues
-Some glitches and bugs:
*One I can point out is a glitch with the 3rd map. Once the team dies it spawns you to the end safe house, so I never really got to experience the 3rd map fully.
-Bot navigation can be quite irritating
-The mapping seems a little rushed
-Finale is ambiguous (Though it was VERY fulfilling to complete it. However, I do recommend it to be shortened)
I realize this campaign has some mixed reviews, but I personally enjoyed it. If you are looking for a basic left 4 dead campaign and just want a quick play-through, you may be disappointed with Claustrophobia. I played it with just my boyfriend on Hard Eight advanced until we beat it; which ate up a lot of our weekends. It is challenging, puzzling and unique. Of course, it may be TOO difficult at times but completing it with just my boyfriend and I and one bot was quite the fulfilling achievement, and getting through the finale was quite a troublesome obstacle to overcome. I have to give it a fair rating as I did encounter MANY problems, but it was still one of the most enjoyable campaigns I have ever experienced, not to mention THE MOST challenging. A bias rating would be about a 9.5.
My boyfriend and I share some charitable memories because of this campaign!! Nice work. :)
+ Half-Life hues
+ Absolute "Claustrophobia" (it was TIGHT)
+ Considerate facilities(little elevator, ladders and such)
+ Ample supplies(medics pills adrenaline shots, special ammo packs)
+ Surprises like two tanks in one setting
+ Director's care everywhere.
- Room decoration
- Mapping(It seem to have been done in a haste)
- Order of clues(Lack of instructions)
- Lack of ammo displays in the finale
- Insipid. Not the best of all the research campaigns Ive ever played)
- Lousy ending
- Zombies spawn everywhere(even behind your backs sometimes)
To "Claustrophobia":
This campaign is something we've waited like many many many months since it's posted in here. But apparently it's done in a hurry. I'm sorry, first for once what happened in the comment area before Mr. Fleshybutt is banned, which might be a main reason why the work turned out like this. I expected more, from the screenshot, then what it is now. For mapping, 6(finished)+2(length,details); For experience, +0.5(nothing fun actually) Deduction -0.5 (for the haste.)
Mr Director, you said 10 will do in single player, but when I filled that car with 10 gascans, the car never got started.
i am sorry if am too pissed of but WHY THE !@#$ those peoples play this campaign when their thing is jus't basic and simplory run-n-gun gameplays. this is not a classic l4d campaign of action, runaway, and survival. it's a !@#$ing LOGIC
and RESEARCH campaign wich deserves a lot more than those crappy reviews and hatefull comments. show some respect.
- Nice unique ideas and surprises
- Challenging puzzles necessary for level progression (for those who like them)
- Each map is in a completely different area
- Challenging events
- Lots of ammo, kits, grenades, guns...
- Too. Damn. Long. It was tedious and started to really annoy us.
- Maps are unnecessarily long and complex.
- TOO many kits and grenades
- Do NOT play with AIs -- don't even bother, they will get killed non stop.
- Some areas not well marked out (ie a couple instant death areas that looked like it was the way to go).
- Some steam blockades caused instant death.
- Textures were dull and repetitive; felt stale after the first couple maps.
- Logistics: I don't care how strong an air vent fan is, it cannot push four people down and around corners in 60 ft or so of piping.
- Textures: some textures and elements seemed very out of place, inconsistent. It reminded us we were playing a mod and not official valve content.
Overall, the unique aspects made this entertaining (especially the moving cart, it was hilarious to watch the zombies and even a witch get bulldozed and instantly killed on impact). I like puzzles to some extent, however the puzzles and map lengths were unnecessarily long and arduous, it took away from being able to enjoy the game. Would work better in a horror-based survival game as opposed to a FPS.
