A 5-map campaign set in various locations throughout Japan. Survivors start in Tokyo's red light district, escaping to Kyoto's Kiyomizu temple, before moving further into the mountains the next morning.

Includes versus mode, which works but wasn't tested much as it was only included as a bonus. Also includes survival mode in 3 of the 5 maps.

I've only played the first couple of maps so far, and I'm blown away by the detail and original setting. However, I had a couple nitpicks so far:

- First map: some of the walls along the stairs have vertical metal beams that jut out from the wall slightly, but they jut out enough that you get stuck on the wall. It's a frustrating little detail that detracts from the professionalism of the map. It would be nice if you'd add a no-clip brush to cover that up so players don't get stuck by the beams.
- In the second map, I actually got stuck and had to restart the map. It was right after you exit the tunnel near the beginning of the map--there's a guard-rail on the right side with tall hedges. I got stuck between the rail and hedges.

Decided to get to the bottom of the 'Pink sky' deal in the last map. Seems that if you have 'Shader detail' set to 'Low' in the advanced video settings, you (or at least 'I') get the pink & black checkerboard sky. Set to anything other than 'Low', and the sky looks fine.

FYI...

Pros:

- Beautiful design and graphics.
- Great level design.
- Very realistic settings.
- Good atmosphere.
- Good tank-placement.
- Many ways to complete the campaign.
- Lots of supplies and ammo.

Cons:

- Some AI trouble; in chapter 2 the AI wouldn't go into the safehouse if I didn't push them in there.
- Weird sky textures in final.
- Finale could have been better.
- If you fall of the edge on the finale there is no way to get up, you can only try to go down which most likely leads to hanging on the edge untill you die.
- Maybe a little too long, but this might be different for everyone.

Conclusion:

Very nice maps and overall great campaign. Great atmosphere and a lot of ways to complete it. Too bad about some bugs, but that did not ruin the whole experience. I am glad I tried this out and I recommend everyone to do so.

Pros:

- Beautiful and realistic looks / textures / map / layout.
- Expansive without being tedious.
- Layout: many different paths to take, without being confusing.

Cons:

- Makes me want to visit Japan; unfortunately I can't afford to do so. :(

Conclusion:

A very fun campaign, very beautiful, and true/realistic of Japan itself -- almost felt like I was really there.

Pros:

-Very beautiful maps
Chapter 1 is really like a hometown of my mother.

Chapter 2, Kyoto!! Where I lived!!Kiyomizu temple!!
The mountain looks like a Kurama mountain I love!!

Chapter 3 remind me of my elementally school age.
If that would have had many rice paddy,
it would be same as the prefecture I have been in used to be.
Soil, stones, woods, and houses, all atmosphere is great.
Especially style of houses are perfect. It must be well researched.

This campaign is full of "I have seen similar sight in real!!" .

-Realism
All chapters are composed with many well thought "How this looks real".
Those efforts made this campaign successful on a sense of "zombies in a realistic".
Zombies are not fantasy in this campaign,at least to me.

-Good Layout
There is so many way to go through, and so many points special infects hide,
but it is not still too confusing.

-Custom textures and constitutions of maps
All structures and ways look like unique and different from any others in the campaign,
Changing never stop through the play.

Cons:

-There is some bugs.
-I want more revival spot.
-I know it is on purpose, but final is too easy.
-Director AI might be too gentle for some players who can't play well and who still want to try hard game.
I am one of those kind of player. In chapter 2, My friend and I got game over twice or three times.
Then Zombies reduced so much. This might be pros for other players.

Conclusion:

Very good Campaign!!
I don't know if its possible or not, but I hope this become a official one as DLC.

By the way,I think beginning of chapter 2 was little bit longer in beta version.
Maybe my wrong memory, but I loved that and I prefer longer.
I would like to stay in this campaign longer.

This is my fist review and now looks like a one's thought much more than review.
I just couldn't help myself without posting.
If the texts I wrote included reasons of troublesome matters, Please just tell me.
Then I will delete this review.
