(L4D1 only)
In this Dead Island inspired campaign, the survivors team up with the military on a mission to stop the flow of water in the sewer and dry the city out, with the hope of stopping the infection from spreading further.
They fight their way through a supermarket into the city's sewer system, drains the water and then try to reach the rendezvous located on the rooftop of Ramsey Hotel, where Death is taking his vacation.

campaignWhy is it when I play this I have the entire cast of L4D2 instead of L4D1?
In addition, all the hints that are supposed to be there to guide you along, like arrows pointing over computers that you are supposed to reboot, are missing! Also, in the first chapter, the red turnable handles on the pipe that you are supposed to turn to stop the water flow are missing in the sewer...but when you hit 'E' while standing where the handles are supposed to be, it turns off anyway and a horde comes.
I didn't miss the info in the title. I have L4D1 and 2. I was under the impression that the characters from L4d1 would show up in my game. Is there something that I should do in order to get the characters from L4D1 to appear? I definitely wouldn't play a game for L4d1 if i didn't have the first installment of the game.
You can't play this campaign in L4D2, which is what you are doing. It's only compatible with L4D1, even if you own both. It is impossible to have L4D2 survivors in this unless you are playing it on L4D2 (or have some switch survivor mod for L4D1 which I haven't seen).
Left 4 Dead 1 ports on Left 4 Dead 2 is not Left 4 Dead 1. I suppose the weak-minded fail to recognize that.
*Very good gameplay.
*Tons of detail.
*Longer maps than usual.
*Interesting and original crescendo events.
*No bugs or nav issues that I could see.
*Looked a bit strange during the intro when the helicopter moved from side to side but the turrets stayed stil. They even went through the walls of the helicopter a few times.
*Some vents right next to each other in the kitchens had different colour reflections. Probably a cubemap issue.
*When a tank appeared after the elevator event in the hotel, it just stayed in a vent until we killed it. It didn't make any attempt to leave.
*Finale radio voice was very loud when right next to it but very quiet when just a few feet away.
One of the best L4D campaigns there is. Tons of work and attention has clearly gone into this. This is better than probably all of the official campaigns.

Please port this to L4D2...
