Instead of just fixing the missing tables at the beginning of the map, what i did is that i redesigned the area a bit.
Lowered lightmap scale at places for improved lighting.
More Stairs at Otherworld.
More supplies at the new areas i added.
Adjusted slowmo time at the tank event at the beginning.

Map 2:
Added more detail at the forest section.
Minor bug fixes.
Placed melee weapons that are always available to be required to break...stuff.


Map 3:
Added more detail at the beginning.
Removed props here and there around the map.
Added player clips.

Added more detail.



Map 6:
Middle section has been fixed, the random crashes and the low framerate should be gone. For a prize.
Parts of the last section has been cut here and there for lack of brushes to use.
Removed stairs here and there and replaced them with ramps.



Map 7:
Added end cinematic camera.
Redesigned the "Thing" at the end to be more obvious where the actual reference came from,
instead of calling it at buttplug that some liked to call it.




General:

New Hunting Rifle.

New Auto shotty.

Everytime i tried to change the "env_instructor_hint" text, the compile tools refused to compile the maps and the VMF's
became corrupt and never to be able to load them again, same thing with renaming the VMX -> VMF.
Mispelled words, grammar and words missing in sentences and so on will be in this version as well.
I cleaned up a lot and added new stuff for you to read, not this time unfortunately.
Going to find out what is causing that annoying problem.

Removed the Previous hunter model and brought back the Butcher instead.
Added custom sound for Hunter (by XD001)

The hunter sound replacements are quieter than the original, now he is more dangerous.



Unless there are problems this is the Final update and i feel that this one is complete.

Changed textures at the forest section. Slight changes to the scenery.
Placed more supplies at the end of the Sewer and beginning of the Forest section, balancing the difficulty even further. How much is hard to say.
Added more lights at the forest sections.
Added more lights at the sewer section.



Map 3:
Modified scenery at one area.
One group was never a part of logic case, now it will disappear randomly.
Added more detail at the beginning.
Renamed the map, the old name never made sense to me.

I Removed the OLD Hunter and Boomer model replacements due to "Server is enforcing consistency for this file: bla bla" to often.
What i did though is i brought back the old skins for the Boomer and the Boomette (which is creepy in a different way) instead of model replacements.
And the hunter got a new model replacement instead.

Organised item placements at the middle section of the map to make you more uncomfortable to take shortcuts.

The background story can give you small hints, even if they are indirect on it what it might be.
These will come in Either as an "Newspaper" or an "Notepad". Each of these will tell something different.



The textures that has the SCI FI feel to them are NOT made by me. These are made by PhilipK (philipk.net).
I just slightly altered them a bit.


IF you experience frequent crashes, let me know and i might know why it happens. IF you get the inconsi bla bla bla for the HUNTER,
let me know and i know why it happens and i will remove it asap.
I know the same thing happens for the BOOMER and i am thinking of removing that as well.





One more thing, the nav for the elevator on map 6 is broken but very doable in single player.

Map 1:
Added more playerclips.
Minor changes to the intro.
Modified the starting area.
Fixed broken decals.
Added more detail in general.


Map 2:
Slightly modified areas at the Otherworld section.
Disabled shadows on some props.
Forest section 2 got a new ground texture.
Easier to notice where to go at second section (forest) by the road.


Map 3:
Fixed missing texture.
Unusual bug when spawning at the start when coming from map 2 is hopefully fixed.

Map 4:
Fixed missing decal.
Fixed breakable door.


Map 5:
Added trigger_changelevel.
Nav Flow Error hopefully fixed (the cause might be lack of _changelevel brush ent),
i never got this issue for some reason when i playtested it.
Safe room door starts open and glows green.
Added more detail.
Cleaned up unnecessary parts at the mental hospital.




General:
I added the VXL flashlight again in v 2.4.
Updated the MIRROR for UPDATED VMF'S

Fixed missing textures.
Removed disappearing water.

Map 4:
Cutscene debri fixed.
Added more detail.
Blocked open windows with plywood.
Areaportal not working as intended fixed.
Added teleport trigger beside the safe room.
The manniquinn is dangerous now.
Two breakable doors in the apartment where the tank event happened are now Unbreakable.
Fixed more breakable brushes.
More doors that were breakable and didn't lead anywhere are now unbreakable.


Map 5:
Added one missing texture.
Added one missing model.
Hope that the safe room is easier to locate.


General:
Remember that the VMF's also gets updated to the latest version, and everytime i do have to update the mirror on this site because the old url gets deleted automaticly.
Going to take a break from mapping ( no more speedmapping for awhile) and do something else.

Map 1:
Added more detail, like props and "fog".
Removed the ladder(s) that were cause the nav flow to break.
I made a staircase instead where the ladder were.

Map 2:
Second forest section where there is a turn (also a streetlight), you could get stuck there and now it is fixed.
Removed the cutscene that were close to the start of the map.
You will see the creature somewhere else.

Map3:
I hit the Entity Limit here.
Added more detail.
I hope i fixed the crash. Let me know otherwise.
Improved the amount of supplies, should be less and even more random. Or play on Expert.
Added more weapons.

Map 4:
Added more detail.
Improved the cutscene a bit, should be less "funny" to look at... :/
Removed the safe room Tank (it was temporary anyway)
Made the mannikey glow and it is suppouse to be that Way it is now.

Map 5:
I hit the Entity Limit here, big time...over and over and over again. I might have 50ish props left to place.
Borrowed buildings from rp_silenthill that are at the beginning of the map.
This is the new map in the update. Good Luck.


General:

New melee weapon given by byblo.
New loading screen.
Removed the VMF's because the size of the VPK is getting alarmingly large.
Some maps have low framerate at the beginning for a couple of seconds, ignore this, it is because of thousands of prop_physic objects that are falling on the ground at the same time.
Ammopiles that are upsidedown (or at the side) and etc, that occurs when i have the weapon_item_spawn entity in the air with physics enabled.
Removed the VXL flashlight for the time being.

Map 1: Added more detail on the map.

Map 2:
Added trigger_hurt at the forest sections where you might fall off.
Changed "OnTouch" to "OnTrigger" on the sound effects that kept repeating all the freaking time, annoying i know.
Added more soundscapes and sound effects that were missing before.
Decreased the LIGHTMAP scale at certain places to improve the lighting.
ERROR model deleted.
Keith's textures works.
Added sound effect for a machine.
Placed a ramp where you got stuck at the last part of the sewer section, hard to see but you will now be able to jump back up.


Map 3:
Added more detail on the map.
Placed navmeshes on the tables at the REC Burger.
More player clips.
MAJOR cleanup from unnecessary amount of props, like windows....more windows...even more windows...the redicilous amount of window props i had.
More supplies.
Replaced window props with textures.

Map 4:
Improved the Cutscene.
Improved the lighting a bit.
Changed the fog distance outdoors.
Occluders at places.
Disable trigger if another trigger is being triggered...triggers...more triggers.
Deleted the washingmashines models that had missing textures to the official models that looked identical...
Temp fix for the dryers...
Added more detail here and there.
Added more weapon spawns.




This will be edited if i remember more.

This was designed as an Single Player experience in mind.
Players who are strong-willed with large amount of patience, stubborn and are also willing to sacrifice in order for the team to advance, then give this a shot.

This campaign is based on various events, real life locales and other weird stuff from Games, TV Shows and other random stuff.

Change the shader to HIGH or VERY HIGH for best visual experience.
Read the change log for credits. To many to mention here.
If the story, the ending is confusing or hard to understand and want an explanation? PM me and I'll answer.

Pros:

Extremely detailed campaign
Genuinely scary experience
Gives a huge amount of justice to the Silent Hill franchise
Great custom character and weapon mods
Superb level design
Custom scripts and interactable objects are perfect

Cons:

Some chapters can feel slightly too long
Some places can be too dark (well, for me anyway)
Ending isn't anything special

Conclusion:

Overall, I would say that this is probably the best custom campaign available. In some places, it left me truly terrified and scared to turn away from my screen in case there was anything behind me, which is perfect for a silent hill map! Even from the beginning, you can see the amount of effort that has gone into this map and it absolutely pays off as I was left hungry for more! A few times, I was aggravated by the length of some chapters and the ending wasn't as spectacular as it could've been but it is only a small gripe. The custom items such as the keys and newspapers give an extra level of depth to this campaign, actually adding some story elements. This campaign is absolutely brilliant and I can't recommend it enough! Great job dude!

Pros:

- really well done map
- super creepy
- holy frick that witch sound made my veins freeze
- a lot to explore and see
- added custom models gave me the creeps
- switching between normal and *other* world is super cool
- Fascinating and trippy ending! ;)

Cons:

- can't really come up with a real contra, maybe the maps are a bit long but that just depends on the person playing

Conclusion:

By far the best custom map I've ever played. Played it with my best friend and 2 bots because we couldn't do it on our own on normal (and we're fairly experienced..) Had to start over again 3 times though, especially the second map drained us! The only thing that got me wondering was in map 6/7 (in these rooms), not seeing the models and being able to see through doors was done on purpose? Would have fit one of those notes saying something like "... and there's doors in between". The glitches between Silent Hill, normal and futuristic? in that same part we're also really cool, thought my game was glitching out on me though!

Overall, these 2 years it took to make this map were totally worth it, it's like playing a whole new game.

hi

finnaly i had the chance to play it had version 4.2 but was hard cause crash in local wasnt able to play it finaly i found a game public miracle no crash dunno why in local doesnt work then got problem of version with the public server and i donwloaded 4.4
sincerly great map well design about infected and atmosphere really creppy .
i can uderstand several comment about lost to get the right way , yes sometimes was not easy to find the good way but it for the fun , you can explore lot of things i enjoyed it a lot i was a little sad for the final (too short)

Hi, me and other players have a problem, when we start the campaign in dedicated server, the first chapter work but the second chapter "Confusion" doesn't work and a message error appear "strings table differs from server", in local it work but it's lag so much in local, we don't know how to fix this error. Can you do something to fix this?
It was work in 4.3 but not in 4.4

Can I play it on multiplayer mode?

Yes. I recommend you play it alone for the experience, scarier that way.
