To spawn them in maps, place any weapon entity and change the entity class name to a CSS weapon script. (EG. weapon_rifle_desert_spawn to weapon_rifle_ssg552 and ERASE THE WORD "SPAWN"!!) The weapon needs to be sent through a trigger_transition or changelevel to do damage.

there are many maps with use the css weapons, even before you made your first mod.
I was hoping this was a method to spawn them without the change level or transition, without mods anyway. I'd love to include these in my maps but sadly, since they do not work, well..
There is another method, which is to put one on a previous level (map 1, say), which makes the weapon in map 2 function. But if someone skips to 2, that breaks, so I discount it as viable.
