hey don 2evil eyes. is it possible to finish someone else campaign. alot of us were waiting for the ORIGIN to be completed. it seems as tho it is dead. i guess the mapper Timeh moved on from mapping. i know you have the skills to make this campaign come back from the dead
I have updated my review now that I have the latest version.
In the review are a lot of specific observations, including the locations of invisible walls, boxed-in areas, visual discontinutiy and architecture that defies physics.
This is a great campaign, a must download for L4D2 players. A few things i noticed though is at the tree house in the second level u can get behind it and hide and the tank cant get you, and that the roof isn't connected to the building right. other than those few things this was one of the best campaigns i have played.

In 2nd Map tank can get stuck between nose of airplane and rock/mountain. Also every other player can get stuck there once you fall into this spot. I mean the airplane after you activate the metal door where the sparkles appear, then cilmb down, then the plane comes on left side.
FPS Drop Down in last map (8vs8, maybe because of too many players ?)
Swamp Fever reloaded ? No way. This is by far better and more exciting! Neglegting the little glitches I mentioned you have approximately 1.5 - 2 hours of hilarious entertainment when playing these maps. Especially on modded servers with "unlocked" abilities of the special infected :) It´s astonishing how much this campaign has been improved over the last months, compared to first beta versions of l4d1 maps, great work and thanks @don for this gift !

Conclusion:I enjoyed playing this map. It looks like it's meant to be played with some real entertaining friends, or at the least guys who won't rage quit on you as it is dependable on having reliable and fast thinking teammates. Other than that, playing single player may take longer and add to the difficulty which is neither bad or worse but essentially good for gamers seeking a challenge.

-When the next level started (the fourth one I believe), we spawned outside the saferoom. In another level, Coach spawn behind the saferoom and was stuck there the entire level.

-The grammar and spelling.I know this seems silly but by using capitalization and correct spelling your map will seem so much more polished. Like instead of "press the radio on and fight till rescue comes" you could have said "Call the helicopter and defend yourselves." I know. I know. It's a stupid thing to complain about. Just my two cents.
Overall it was a really fun map. Even though there were some bugs, this is definitely a campaign I would play again. I recommend that everyone try it out.

I loved that scene in map 1 or 2, can't remember excatly, where there was a giant rock and a tree that fell down and a tank came running out from it. That, my friend, THAT was very creative!
I also loved how you putted everything from almost core l4d2 map into one giant awesome map.

Conclusion:it was an epic campaign that i loved to play. i took me 2 hours to finish, which is the longest campaign i've played. i would DEFINITELY recommend downloading and playing this if you love lots of monsters. the only bad parts about it are it was slightly confusing at points, there were WAY too many hordes, like 20 every 10 minutes or so. the finale too way too long. me and my friends would get to the very end at the rescue and then the bots would get downed and my friend and i would get swarmed and surrounded. also, there was little ammo and when there WAS it was like 2 or 3 sets right next to each other. example: there was one in an old fashioned porter-potty and one inside the ruined house it was right next to. there were NONE in the safe houses. other than that, GREAT campaign.

- There was a purple/black checkerbox on the first three maps, although I don't know if that was my fault.
- The hordes were overwhelming and sometimes the bots would get stuck.
- Sometimes it was difficult to find out where to go next.
I really liked this campaign. For a single mapper to create something like this is amazing. It had some flaws but that didn't stop me from making it to the end and finishing the campaign. Keep up the good work.

And I also remember on the river area showed on your 5th screenshot, there is a small missing texture. But I can't be sure of this, I have to replay it to check it out.

I made it to the 2nd level of this campaign, got to some cabin, couldn't figure out where to go from there. Overall it feels very much like a rough draft, and not a finished campaign. The areas are very messy and full of random stuff. There are a couple areas where I was able to get stuck behind some rocks. And there's one walkway that allows you to jump onto a very tall rock and pick off a bunch of witches and the witches can't get to you. Hell, nothing can get to you. The constant witch spawn in particular made the game feel very hackneyed. I dunno, this is the first custom campaign I've tried to play, and maybe this low-quality is just what's to be expected. I personally expected more seeing such a high rating. I know that it's not possible to put out the quality that valve does with their resources, but certainly this can't be as good as it gets.

this map is over-rated. the levels are well constructed technically, but the concept overall needs more work. The campaign feels like it is missing consistency in terms of a realistic setting. I give praise and rating points for the quality of construction, but take away points for the nav problems, atmosphere and immersion - some maps didn't feel connected properly. my feedback is to build on the core design concept.

One of the larmed doors in begining of campaign is bugged.
One of the tanks was hiding in tha base with big the warehouse and would not trigg to attack. We did hear it and move around the building but it never charged at us.
With some more trees and bushes to smoth out the feeling of a long canyon run and to hide the zig-zag. With scaled obstacles, like all the tree-debarkations and tree huts + removing some odd placed trailers in the swamps (how did they end up there?). After that this map will get a 90+ !

I liked this map. I went through on Normal Realism and found there to be enough unique environmental factors to call out positions, and the open-ended nature of some of the parts of the levels made exploring fun. I do think some of the design choices were suspect, however, such as the well-designed factory area for the gate crescendo that was under-utilized. The boat ride was a nice surprise, I liked that, even if the AI kinda screws up trying to actually get on the boat, I think you did as well as you could with the game engine that is given to you. I felt the finale level had a good design to it, but it gets slightly ruined by camping the helicopter landing pad.
I definitely give this a thumbs up to any co-op players looking for a fresh map with some good ideas.

Higly overrated campaign. Don't mean to be a hater, but the maps are laid out with little or no logic or consistency. At the same time, it's visually very bland, and presents little strategic opportunities. The maps alternate between flat open areas to straight narrow corridors, with little use of the different types of layouts (return, high ground, etc).
Visually, a good looking map.

A fun map, definitely worth downloading. Gameplay was fun, but some parts can be confusing, such as trees in the path, making it appear as a dead end, which left us scrambling around the area for a good 4-5 minutes.
I was playing with a few friends, and on the part with the raised harbor, I had a friend jump into the water, thinking that he was supposed to get onto the boat in the river, which was even worse since it was right before the finale, and there are no "spawn closets".
I loved the boat that went along the river, that was awesome, but I wish it had lasted longer, or gone a longer distance.

This is certainly the most improved map from l4d1 to l4d2. Visually stunning, well pathed and a challenge to all.. you'll probably have to play this one level down from your normal level. However, the reason I stopped at 85% was that at least one of the hoard events is just too hard (getting across the railway line)
However, with a few more tweeks this is going to be one of the powerhouse coop maps.

This is really an fun and creative map taking alot of skill to make i got to admit it was fun to play. But the thing that killed it for me was the bots i spent more time in hard mode ending a lv killing the bots or reviving them cause they were so stupid they would down themselfs like climing ladder or when fighting a tank. It's much better to play with friends online. It's like the bots can't withstand the creative sheer awesomeness of everything that they go all duhhhh on you but other then that all i got to say is wow...

Very cool map, but not very enjoyable to play on single player. The map always froze every other minute (VERY unlikely that it's my computer seeing as how playing uses less than half of my CPU.) The bots are very annoying because it seems like they don't see the fire, and run in to kill zombies when I have thrown a molotov. Couldn't even finish the campaign, it was unbearably glitchy. Also it felt like I was just replaying some of the Valve campaigns all meshed into one. Such as running across the bridge for example, or feeling like some of Swamp Fever was just copy and pasted. Not to mention the fact that the cars move and instantly incapacitate bots when they jump down on them.

Ok let me start off with this is the greatest map I have ever played from this sight I would go so far as to say that its better than the valve official ones its long but not to long to make me bored and when played with friends the greatness is 4x better. The events where great especially the rockfall one and the boat I hope you continue with map design my friend you have a great talent. Also on the last level I managed to get into a tree and no S.i could get me and its not very hard either.

Conclusion:This campaign was really fun. I had fun exploring the map and trying to figure out ways to go about each crescendos. The campaign rewards teamwork, especially with the crescendos, water, and scripted tanks and witches. Overall, a really fun map! Don't go expert on this map the first time tho.

This campaign is visually stunning heart-pounding at parts and has many interesting horde-alerters making for some wonderful gameplay.
I highly suggest downloading but the bots get tripped up on EVERYTHING and die a lot so bring friends :)

Conclusion:this is a well thought out campaign with entertaining twists & turns , lots of original ideas built this , over all a great gaming experience every time played by myself & friends . i love dark maps (map 5)but i supose the lighter maps make the graphics look better and it is a l4d2 thing
baring in mind all the issues about a month ago and maybe a couple of things i would tweak THUMBS UP
Conclusion:as said above i rated the first release say 70-75 and now i can see its built to its maximum.Hope you make more and looking foward to it for sure.obviously there are always things you can tweak or whatever but i agree with ksabre dont do anything else to it.

Event door on the first map doesn't get destroied by shots (only meele or pipe). This CAN be a issue in Single Players, but not a big one
Bots somehow managed to down themselves in the second map stairs (possibly because I was dragged by a Smoker out of there, so they jumped to rescue me)
Boat can get you stuck between it and a rock

The sudden weather change still bugs me.
Infected can spawn under a car on the finale
Wow, you fixed everything that really needed fixing. This is really awesome now, aside from one or two bugs here and there, it's really good.

It was a mix of everything.
Swamp, sewers, bridges etc.
I really liked
1. The boat ride (shame so brief)
2. The suprise fall
3. The bridge end bit
4 I like how the huts at the end where breakable
5. I liked on the bridge everyone could have a chainsaw
Its a large layout and very well done for an individual.
It was very differnet from other maps on here.
-Quite a few problems.
1.There is a big whole in the corner of the first map, you can climb on the rocks and see a big whole.
2.Also we spent about 10mins around the houses/red car because we didnt know where to go.
3.Through out its pretty hard, maybe because i was playing on advanced, there seemed to be a lack of pills/items, and the first and second level need lvl2 guns.
4. Theres some problems in the final map, three of the squd spawned miles away at the begining.
5. The bots where thick, you need to mark battlestations in the huts, the bots just stud outside.
6.Some times it was confusing where to go next.(maybe use light or arrows)
7. There wasnt any rescue closets.
8. Some times on starting on in the safety room or ending in a safety room there wasnt 4 medpacks.
9. The slowness of the swamp was sometimes annoying, specially in the finale when your trying to run from the tank, but thats not a big issue.
If all the cons where ironed out id rate 95. The map had a good atmosphere, and it wasnt an simple a-b straight line.
I know they is just a person not a professional team but there seemed like there wasnt a theme, just survivors going from a-b. In each L4D map they try make some kind of reason example deadair they start in a warehouse and end up flying away, throughout going through a airliner.
The map kinda gave mixed messages, you dont know where u start or end. It seems like a swamp, that goes to houses, then to sewers, then to another swamp, with a bridge in the middle. ALso bizzer giant tree house and like a bit starwars like ewoks walkways.
Id recommand to download have a go with freinds but to make it complete it still needs work, and id make it a bit more gameplay freindlyer adding more pills or lvl2 guns.
It would really make a difference if there was more items/goodys. Maybe 4 chainsaws at the beginging making it feel more horrorfying!!!
Creative and challenging maps.
Large and vast map design.
Too many major and difficult crescendos per map.
Map designs don't make sense sometimes, "story holes" present.
No continuity from map to map and region to region.
Although it's good visual map designing, the bigger picture isn't taken into mind. There's a lot of "holes" present in the map design and transitions (no continuity and things feel out of place). I took a fly-around whenever I was dead and things just didn't add up to me. Pretty map design, but not Valve quality map design.

A lot of interesting panic event.
The flooded graveyard was interesting.
Most of the environments, events and such work.
The leaning bridge was an interesting ending to the bridge event.
Objects stuck through terrain.
Start-position not working properly; the infected are attacking although the match haven't begun.
Tree growing over the ground.
Invisible walls instead of terrain blocking map edge at some places.
Terrain clipping with other terrain.
The balance is broken. A tank can spawn two minutes after the start. Only giving the survivors pistols decides this fight before it has begun.
Yellow light bulb, red light.
Some areas need cubemaps; purple lightning.
Avoid using decal windows in saferooms.
The environment changes between the maps feel unnatural.
Brick house with supports made of tiny tree columns.
A lot of times the bots will try to destroy an unbreakable door. Nullifying the threat of the horde in many places.
The powerplant doesn't fit the environment.
The trees growing in the middle of the road looks unnatural.
Some areas allow the player to get stuck. These require more or better clip volumes.
The AI couldn't handle the boat-event.
Light without light-sources in some of the rooms.
Tanks attacking at specific places in the level. The falling boulders. Removes the important random spawning of the tank.
Turned over cars in bizarre places.
The boat at the bride gives the impression that it could be used as an escape vehicle. Make it obvious that it can't be used as such.
Overall an good map with a lot of interesting ideas. The map suffers from a lot of small errors that could easily be fixed.

Edited my review since bam/don says i reviewed based on screenshots. Sorry i didnt like it and felt dissapointed because i expected more from a map with this rating. Btw did they build the cemetary in a lake? Because i doubt lily pads would grow that fast if its just a flooded cemetary.
Again bam jeeze almost all the creshendos are open a door and an alarm goes off cmon i could care less about the simple tricks with brushes/props. and yeah the world cup day was crappy but thats not why i wrote this i was just expecting more. are you his wife? stop crying

-To DaFish: I have no idea which campaign you were playing, it obviously wasn't this one. 2EE is a solid campaign through and through, very "playable" and certainly fun. There were more then a few surprizes along the way that made the campaign standout. As some reviewers stated before, 2EE is tough but I didn't find it overly hard. There was a nice balance of action and supplies along the way. Some of the maps were a bit "short" but the over all action made up for that. The only map that felt kinda "flat" to me was map 1. All the others had interesting elements but map 1 felt a little like a walk around the block. Also on map 1 we encountered a door that couldn't be opened... it actually took a pipebomb to blast our way through. That was either a glitch or we just didn't "get it". We were being swarmed by zombies and I don't think anyone tried to whack it open with a melee weapon. On map 3 (I think) 2 of our players were able to jump over the fence to the saferoom avoiding the car alarm and witch. The boat event seemed a little pointless and glitchy. The ride is very short and basically if you stand in front of the boat you just get pushed along without fear of being mobbed by CI or SI.
Other then a few minor issues 2EE is a standout campaign with really stunning enviornments (1 player said "are we on Pandora?" referring to the movie Avatar) that felt a little chaotic to me at times, well spaced out events (unlike some other maps which seem to always have an alarm wailing in your headset) and some really neat-o surprizes along the way. 2EE is a solid 8/10 and worth downloading.
The Devil is in the details !!! Evidently Don addressed every glitch and criticism I read in the reviews before I downloaded the campaign because I found none. The "Door" on MAP 1 needs to be broken into as stated in the game. Melee or rifle butt the beeyotch!
The maker did not rush through the campaign making process apparently. They managed to squeeze in most of the things I like about other campaigns into a jaunt that makes sense. On NORMAL three strangers and I had to restart a few times as none of us knew what to expect, L4D2 became new and exciting all over again. THANK YOU!
Can't really think of any aspects that cannot be overcome with some careful gameplay. Enough weapons in the right places, enough boss-infected to require teamwork and strategy, enough variables to make replaying the campaign fresh for a good long time.
Having to restart a few times on NORMAL because of surprises, no glitches just tells me ADVANCED and EXPERT are something to look forward to (eventually lol)

*The boat ride down the canal seems odd and short, but upon reflection I guess if I had to go a football field's length down a canal with no way around it, I'd take the boat wouldn't I?

-Fairly good environment.
-Good gameplay.
-Unique panic events and Crescendo events.
-First level lacks secondary weapons, a bit of a twist.
-Handy notes for that one Medkit and events, also a boat ride.
-The addition of Mud Men.
-Plenty of supplies before the bridge event.
-Outhouses a good substitute for Closets.
-During the bridge event, could you give the player a bit of a break in between hordes?
-In the same event, there shouldn't be any Tanks or Witches in the way!
-There should be a few spare weapons on the bridge with the Ammo dump in the truck.
-Could use Survivors in poster.
-Could use weapon placements in place of ammo dumps.
-Does there always have to be a Witch in front of the second map's gate?
-Witch behaviour is inconsistent with the time of day in third level.
-Lack of Silenced SMGs and Chrome Shotguns in most areas.
-Tank music didn't play for me in the finale.
No doubt inspired by Swamp Fever I presume? A truly intense campaign, the Bridge had me clinging on for dear life!

The path to the saferoom is not always obvious especially after some events.
The flames sprites in the tunnel during the event on the cemetry map don't look good at all.
Everyone should download and support this FINISHED and perfectly PLAYABLE campaign. It must also be really interesting in versus
Maps 4, 5 and 6 are a vast improvement over maps 1, 2 and 3.
Unrealistic structures and terrain.
Many areas are built inside of a large box.
Linear barriers to direct your path (odd for an outdoor environment).
Awkward placement of props.
Mismatched visuals and physics defying architecture.
Invisible walls.
This campaign has more perfect reviews than any other map. with many claiming that it is the best map ever, but it has so many design flaws (most in the first 3 maps) that I was initially convinced that I had downloaded the wrong campaign.
Maps 1 and 2) Here are some objective observations:
Linear walls and areas built in boxes, but in an outdoor setting.
Pristine, shiny streetlamps erected in a stream in an ancient looking swamp.
A rope bridge with a nodal end connected to a long plank with no supports, thus defying physics.
A flawless, shiny bathroom in an old wood shack in the middle of a swamp.
These are examples of visual discontinuity.
Map 3) cars sticking out of the ancient swamp like lawn darts.
An automotive street sign pointing out the exit from a boxed-in compound where the ramp leads down into the old swamp with a danger/high water sign. What car is going to drive down there?
A long tunnel leading to a long stairway: never good for coop nor versus.
Map 4) a couple of death-charge spots every once in a while makes a campaign exciting. The bridge here is a 100-yard long death-charge spot, thus making the charger way over powered in versus. There are invisible walls blocking the train tracks.
Map 5) more visual discontinuity, like a perfectly painted handicap parking decal on the grass/moss. The design here is much better. I like the surprise drop into the undergound train tunnels, and the lighting directls the flow well. The van event had no horde.
Map 6) you can jump over the first fence on the right which leads you to another invisible wall. The finale gives us another area built inside of a large box. The destroyable buildings are a nice touch.
Take Swamp Fever, add the Parish finale and a generic helicopter rescue in a swamp box and you have the last three maps (which are the strongest of the six).
If this campaign only consisted of the last three maps, I would rate it a solid 75/100.
While I do not want to belittle the glowing experiences from the countless perfect reviews, this campaign is very far from perfect, and when compared to other similarly scored maps like Death Aboard 2, Dam It 2 and Detour ahead, this one is in a totally different league.

it shows that user made maps can be great fun and well made, and only highlights the need for valve to support user made content by adding it as free DLC and adding them to servers for all to play.
